GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A freight train hit the back of a tractor trailer crossing the tracks in Greenville County, blocking the road for a few hours.

According to FOX Carolina's crew at the scene, the driver reported not hearing the bells or seeing the lights when he crossed the tracks at Piedmont Park Road near Rutherford Road about 10:40 a.m.

The driver said he was not injured though the truck was damaged and it hit a railroad electrical box, damaging it as well.

It is not clear how long it will take before the intersection opens back up. No other details about the accident have been released.
