Deputies: Burglar swipes $26K in jewels, electronics from Piedmont home

PIEDMONT, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A burglar broke into a Piedmont home on Wednesday during the day and was able to get away with more than $26,000 of the victim's belongings, according to deputies.

Greenville County deputies said the victim was gone from her West Georgia Road home from 7:10 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. and when she returned, she discovered someone had broken into her home.

The woman reported to deputies that various electronics, including a TV and computer, along with a charm bracelet, engagement ring and other items worth a total of $26,647 were missing.

Deputies ask anyone with information about the burglary to call Crime Stoppers at 864-23-CRIME.
