PELZER, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A section of Highway 418 that was closed in Greenville County as troopers with the SC Highway Patrol investigate a deadly crash reopened Saturday afternoon.

Troopers said the crash happened near the intersection of Reedy Fork Road in the Pelzer area just after 10 a.m. Saturday.

Troopers said a 72-year-old Pelzer man ran off the road and hit an embankment, which caused his car to flip over.

The driver wasn't wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.

The driver's identity has not yet been released.

The crash remains under investigation.
