TAYLORS, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Hundreds of people came out to support the troops, Saturday, at the Foothills Mustang Club's Cruise-in to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.

Antique Mustangs, along with a variety of other makes and models, gathered at the club located on Wade Hampton Boulevard in Taylors.

Project officials said hundreds of people came out to see the cars and to support the troops.

Proceeds from the entry fees went to the Wounded Warriors Honor Flight program, which flies veterans to the WWII and Korean War Memorials in Washington, DC. Organizers said the event was a way to show appreciation for the troops and to honor military heroes.

Today's event was part of the Wounded Warriors Family Support Mustang's High Five Tour.  During the four month tour, the Mustang GT500 will travel more than 26,000 miles and to more than 60 cities.

Organizers said Americans from all across the country are invited to visit a stop along the tour and sign the car with a message of support to veterans and their families.
