People across our area are expected to wake up to increasingly cloudy skies and temperatures in the 50s Monday morning.
Monday morning's commute can be a wet one for those traveling in western North Carolina early in the day. Late morning will see scattered showers push into the Upstate and stick around throughout the day.
During the afternoon hours we may see a few showers in the Upstate develop into thunderstorms. Our mountain towns will likely just see rain from this system. We will hold onto the rain chances overnight into Tuesday as well.
Tuesday will see cooler temperatures behind a cold front, only topping out in the mid to upper 60s in the Upstate and upper 50s across western North Carolina. Rain will finally push out of the southeast by Tuesday evening.
When all is said and done with this system, we can expect between an inch and a half and two inches for both the Upstate and western North Carolina.
The sun will return to the area by Wednesday, but expect temperatures to stay below normal until the end of the work week.
