Deputies in Oconee County said a Central man now faces weapons charges in relation to a road rage incident that occurred back in March.
Brandon Weatherly, 25, has been charged with two counts of pointing and presenting a firearm at a person, according to warrants.
Deputies said the investigation began or March 14, 2014 when a deputy responded to reports of a reckless driver presenting a firearm on U.S. 123.
The deputy caught up with Weatherly's vehicle at the intersection of Perimeter Road at Highway 93 on the Clemson University campus, according to reports.
The deputy notified the Clemson University Police Department, who arrived afterwards, made a traffic stop, and eventually charged Weatherly with driving under the influence, according to the incident report.
Jimmy Watt, spokesman for the Oconee County Sheriff's Office, said warrants were issued against Weatherly for pointing and presenting a firearm on March 30 and April 1, 2014.
Watt said Weatherly turned himself in on Friday morning.
