TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A Dutch girl reportedly tweeted as a joke to a major airline on Sunday that she was a terrorist who was going to bomb its plane, and she was thrown behind bars today.

The girl, identified only as "Sarah," tweeted the following to American Airlines: "hello my name's Ibrahim and I'm from Afghanistan. I'm part of Al Qaida and on June 1st I'm gonna do something really big bye."

American Airlines quickly responded: "Sarah, we take these threats very seriously. Your IP address and details will be forwarded to security and the FBI."

The situation made headlines and dozens responded by making similar threats to American Airlines and others over Twitter.
