A baby born on Tuesday at Memorial Health is already making
plans for college.
Noelani Ogletree was born on Tuesday morning to parents
Ricky Ogletree and his fiancé Nikkay Torres. Noelani was recognized as the
first baby born on tax day.
Her parents were presented with a check for $1,529 from
Georgia's Path 2 College 529 Plan, a tax deferred college savings plan that was
started in 2002.
There are also several sweepstakes for all parents as a way
to bring awareness to the college saving plan and the need for parents to start
"We have a newborn sweepstakes where any individual who had
a baby in 2014 can go to our website and enter that sweepstake and will stand a
chance to win $5,529," said Mitch Seabaugh from Path 2 College 529 Plan. "We
also have a $25,000 sweepstakes where anybody can enter and have a chance of
winning $15,000 toward college education."
just finished her degree and both parents hope their daughter will now be able
to look forward to college as well.
