ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Firefighters were dispatched to a report of smoke at the Anderson Jockey Lot on Tuesday evening.

Dispatchers said the first crews on the scene reported seeing smoke coming from a building at the flea market on Highway 29.

The Anderson County fire chief said the smoke turned out to be the discharge from fire extinguishers.

Anderson County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Lt. Sheila Cole said the juveniles sprayed the fire extinguishers to damage property at the Jockey Lot.

Cole described the juveniles' actions as malicious damage.

A 17-year-old was charged, according to Cole.  She said a 15-year-old was released into the custody of his parents.
