Freeze warning through 10 am Wednesday

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A cold front moved through on Tuesday, bringing unseasonably cool air to the Carolinas and Georgia.

With the cool air, Wednesday morning lows will range from the mid 20s in the mountains to low 30s in the Upstate.

Because of these freezing temps during the growing season, a freeze warning was issued through 10 a.m. Wednesday. This means that the cold temperatures could kill sensitive vegetation. So be sure to protect your sensitive plants and make sure your pets can get warm.

Wednesday will bring sunshine and cool afternoon temperatures in the upper 50s for the Upstate and low 50s in the mountains. A warming trend will begin for the rest of the week, and 70s will return by the weekend.
