Freeze, frost return Thursday morning

Posted: Updated:
GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Another very cold morning is ahead for Thursday, at least by mid-April standards.

The day will start in the mid 30s for the Upstate and around 30 in western North Carolina.  With the below average temperatures, most of the Upstate and mountains are under a freeze warning until 9 a.m. while northeast Georgia along with Anderson, Pickens and Oconee counties are under a frost advisory.

Abundant sunshine will help temperatures warm into the low 60s by the afternoon.

Friday will bring more clouds and mild temperatures. Highs will reach the low to mid 60s by Friday afternoon and clouds will thicken up through the day. A few showers may pass through Friday night.

Saturday should be mostly dry, but a couple of light rain showers will be possible in the morning. Easter Sunday looks really nice, with sunny skies and highs in the 60s and 70s.
