American Idol contestant Caleb Johnson continues to receive praise from the judges and fans of the FOX singing competition for his performances.
An Asheville native, Johnson sang Family Tree by Kings of Leon during Wednesday night's two-hour show.
There are only seven remaining contestants left competing for the title of American Idol and one more will be sent home Thursday night. This week's theme was competitor's choice as the contestants picked out the songs for their opponents.
Johnson described the song choice and gave a shout out to friends, family and supporters in the western Carolinas during a live interview on The Ten O'Clock News Wednesday after the show. Watch the interview here.
