GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The 2014-15 Broadway season headed for Greenville is sure to shine with several Tony Award-winning musicals including the return of Wicked.

The Peace Center will host the Broadway Series tour beginning in September with the arrival of Once. The 2012 winner of eight Tony Awards and a 2013 Grammy Award shares the story of a Dublin street musician about to give up on his dream when a beautiful young woman takes interest in his haunting love songs. The show will be in Greenville from Sept. 23-28.

Then on Nov. 11-16, the Tony Award-winning Book of Mormon will make its Greenville debut. From the creators of South Park, the musical tells the story of two young Mormon missionaries sent to a remote village in northern Uganda where they have trouble connecting with the locals.

Disney's Beauty and the Beast will arrive in time for the holidays, from Dec. 23-28. Families will be invited to "be our guest" for the popular musical based off the beloved animated film.

The longest running show of the season arrives in January with the return of Wicked. From Jan. 28-Feb. 15, the story of the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch will unfold on stage for three weeks.

Pippin, the 2013 Tony Award winner for Best Musical Revival, rises on stage March 17-22, featuring entertaining acrobatics that help tell the story of a young prince's journey to find the meaning of his existence.

Families will have another familiar show to attend in August as the classic fairytale stage production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella will be in town Aug. 4-9.

The season concludes Sept. 1-6, 2015 with the 2013 Tony Award winner for Best Musical, Kinky Boots, and best score by Cyndi Lauper. The musical tells the tale of a struggling shoe factory owner who turns his business around with help from Lola, an entertainer in need of sturdy stilettos.
