Report: Woodruff woman stole $27K from Spartanburg employer

SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Woodruff woman accused of stealing more than $27,000 from her employer has been charged.

According to the incident report, 51-year-old Tina Simmons kept the books at Weldor's Supply House in Spartanburg for several years and was recently fired.

The vice president of the company reported to the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office that Simmons may be involved in more than $27,000 in losses over the past two years.

The incident report said the woman allegedly confessed to the crime.

Simmons has been charged with breach of trust with fraudulent intent.
