Driver killed after crashing into trees in Greenville

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The coroner is investigating a fatal crash that happened early Friday morning in Greenville.

Deputy Coroner Mike Ellis said about 12:30 a.m. the driver was headed north on Main Street when he lost control, hitting several trees in the median and stopping in the southbound lanes near Hillcrest Drive.

Ellis identified the driver as Kendrick Brockman, 25, of Piedmont.

Greenville police and the coroner's office are investigating the crash.
