UNION, SC (FOX Carolina) -

An autopsy performed Friday showed that 61-year-old Raymond Davis died from blunt force trauma, according to Union County Coroner William Holcombe.

Davis' body was found in a wooded area near his home on Wednesday after police determined him to be missing.

Davis' stepson, 41-year-old Travelle Burros, was arrested in connection with Davis' death, according to police.

Family members told police that they were concerned after Davis and Burros got into an argument.

Police said they found the home on Union Boulevard which Davis and Burros shared empty on Tuesday, but they determined that foul play may have taken place there. Police said Davis' body was found in a wooded area that consisted of dense underbrush the next day.

Police said they located Burros and arrested him with the help of Union County deputies without incident. Police said Burros was charged with murder.

According to Burros' murder warrant, he hit Davis in the back of the head with a blunt object then hit him in the neck with some type of sharp object, killing him.
