Two men killed in Spartanburg Co. crash

SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Spartanburg man was killed after crashing his car on the road he lived along on early Sunday morning, according to the Spartanburg County Coroner's Office.

Coroner Rusty Clevenger said the single-vehicle crash happened at about 4:30 a.m. on Mount Zion Road at the intersection of Ann Drive in Spartanburg County.

Clevenger said 25-year-old Eric Lee Smith was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of death is pending an autopsy and toxicology results, Clevenger said.

On Sunday night, Clevenger released information that Smith's passenger, 22-year-old Grayson Massey, of Mount Zion Road, was pronounced dead at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. 

Clevenger said that he died from injuries sustained during the early morning wreck.
