A Boiling Springs woman who drove her moped into oncoming traffic on Wade Hampton Boulevard earlier this month passed away from her injuries on Sunday, according to the Greenville County coroner.
Coroner Parks Evans said Teresa Rhodes, 46, was entering Wade Hampton Boulevard from a side street in Taylors on April 18 when witnesses said she crossed all southbound lanes and the median before hitting the driver's side of a car heading in the opposite direction.
The coroner said Rhodes was not wearing a helmet.
He said she was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital and remained a patient there until April 20, when she died.
The cause of death is blunt force trauma of the head and neck.
