SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Spartanburg police are investigating several more cases of vandalism after victims discovered their tires slashed Easter morning.

Police were called to the Crown Pointe Apartments on Powell Mill Road about 10 a.m. Sunday where one victim reported that someone had slashed one of his tires.

The victim told police he had parked his car about 11:30 p.m. Saturday then discovered the damage about 9 a.m. when he was headed to church.

While at the scene, police said they learned that four other cars parked next to the first victim's car had also been attacked by the unknown slasher.

Police said not all of the cars in the parking lot had been vandalized, but just the five parked in a row in front of building G.

About noon Sunday, police said they were called to Chief's on John B. White Sr. Boulevard where an employee said her tires had been slashed overnight as well. She told police when she went to leave work early Sunday morning, she discovered the damage and returned to get her car about noon when she filed the report.

Police said there was some dried blood next to the slash marks that they took samples to send to forensics.

There is no word yet if police believe the two incidents are connected or if they are connected to a similar string of tire slashing's reported in February.

Anyone with information on the vandalism is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
