SCDOT asks for comment on bridges to be replaced

COLUMBIA, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The South Carolina Department of Transportation is asking the public for comment on the bridges slated to be replaced under the Federal Aid Bridge Replacement Program.

The program looks to repair 26 bridges and two culverts across the state - including nine in the Upstate.

The Upstate bridges on the list are:

  • Cherokee County - US-29, Old Georgia Highway - Bridge over Southern Railroad
  • Greenville County - S-272, W. Georgia Road - Bridge over Reedy River 
  • Newberry County - SC-34, Main Street - Bridge over N.S. Railroad
  • Greenwood County - SC-34, Ninety Six Highway - Bridge over Wilson Creek
