GAFFNEY, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Gaffney police have arrested a suspect accused of shooting through the front door of a home on Sunday.

According to the incident report, police responded to the home on Second Avenue, where they found the glass on the front door of the home busted out. They also found three shell casings on the porch.

A woman who lives at the home told FOX Carolina News she was on the couch with her 2-year-old daughter and a friend when a man came to the door and pulled the trigger, but the gun did not fire.

The woman said she then grabbed her daughter and ran with her friend from the home.

According to the incident report, the shooter left the home after the gun did not fire, only to return a short time later. The report said the man returned and fired through the door with the bullets striking the couch.

Gaffney police said they were looking for Wallace Hollis in connection with the shooting.

The Cherokee County Detention Center's online records show Hollis, 34, was arrested Monday and charged with three counts of attempted murder, one count of possession of a weapon during a violent crime and another weapons-related charge.
