Police: Drunk man called 911 claiming to be US Marshal

INMAN, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Inman police said they were called to a home on Clark Street were the caller claimed to be a U.S. Marshal and he needed to talk to cops.

According to the police report, when officers responded to the location on Saturday about 12:15 a.m. they did not find the caller.

The report said the caller demanded to talk to Inman police as he was a Marshall.

Officers found the man at the intersection of Bobo and Collins streets standing in the roadway in "an intoxicated manner," according to the report.

The caller, identified as Arthur Riser, 62, was arrested and charged with public intoxication, unlawful use of 911 and impersonating a law enforcement officer.
