GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Greenville couple told lottery officials they are keeping their $200,000 win a secret from their children.

But they still have big plans for the prize.

The husband picked out and paid for the $10 Maximum Money ticket while the wife said she scratched it, revealing the winning numbers.

The couple headed straight to Columbia to claim their prize, where they told South Carolina Education Lottery officials they would use it to pay for a down payment on a new home - and keep the secret from their children.

The winning ticket was bought at the GT Express Mart on White Horse Road, which received a $2,000 commission for selling the claimed ticket.

There are still three $200,000 prizes remaining in the game. The odds of winning the top prize is one in 600,000.
