A driver was ejected from his vehicle and lost his life following an accident that sent his vehicle airborne in Springfield on Friday morning.
State police responded to a serious one car crash about 2 a.m. on Interstate 91 northbound just prior to exit 9B, according to a news release sent to CBS 3 from the state police media relations office.
State police said 24-year-old Luis Cardoon Rodriguez was driving a 2002 Honda when he drove off the right side of the road and rolled the car over.
Rodriguez was pronounced dead when troopers arrived on scene.
The exit 9B ramp was closed until about 5:30 a.m. while the State Police Crime Scene Services Section and Collision Analysis Reconstruction Section (CARS) conducted an investigation.
