GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville police said they were serving an arrest warrant for a suspect who fled, leading them on a brief chase Wednesday morning.

Police said they went to arrest the man at the Avalon Apartments on Wenwood Road, but he ran from them by climbing out a window.

Police said they were able to catch him a short time later in the wooded area nearby.

JL Mann High School and Christ Church Episcopal School were placed on lockdown briefly during the chase as police said the suspect ran onto Christ Church's property at one point.

Police identified the man as Jayquon Raheem Campbell, 20, and charged him with interfering with police and disturbing school. They said he was wanted on charges of criminal domestic violence, malicious injury to property, and child neglect by the Greenville County Sheriff's Office.
