GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Peppered throughout the food, drinks, plates and napkins at Fusion Audio-Video in Greenville were little reminders of American Idol contestant Caleb Johnson.

The Idol hopeful wowed judges Wednesday night with his rendition of I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing by Aerosmith and Still of the Night by Whitesnake. The Asheville native's friends and family gathered in Greenville, where his aunt Andria Leland organized a huge watch party.

"My kids are the biggest Caleb fans there are," said Leland. "When you see him perform, you can't help but jump out of your seat and start clapping and yelling."

Johnson's parents were there as well. His mother was in Los Angeles last week to watch him perform live, and she said she got to witness the behind-the scenes dynamic of the top five 'Idol' contestants.

"They truly all are friends," said Tamra Johnson. "I know many people think that it's scripted, and they acknowledge that it's a competition - they are competing against each other - but they have spent a great deal of time together. They are like a close-knit family."

But competitors, they are, she said. The family is confident Johnson is going to win the title of 'Idol.'

Tune into FOX Carolina Thursday at 9 p.m. to see which Idol contestant goes home.
