WOODRUFF, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Woodruff High School is where it all started for Tory Dandy.

"I wanted to get back to my hometown," Dandy said.

And by get back, he means give back to young people in the community.

"Let the young folks know - the youth know you can be successful " Dandy said.

He's a former high school and college football player, and now he makes moves on the other side of the ball as an NFL agent with Relativity Sports.

"It comes with responsibility, so I'm willing to take on that. I'm willing to be a leader," Dandy said.

His clients are former University of South Carolina wide receiver Alshon Jeffery, who now plays for the Chicago Bears. His roster also includes NFL prospects - Sammy Watkins, Kelcy Quarles and Bruce Ellington. On Saturday, they will all gather at Woodruff High School for the Tory Dandy Scholarship Fun Day. Dandy will present a scholarship to a Woodruff High School senior during the event.

"I was in the same situation before and got a scholarship. So I know how important a scholarship was," Dandy said.

And that's why Kelcy Quarles doesn't mind taking time out of his day for the event, even though he's on NFL draft watch.

"I just thank God I'm in this position," Quarles said.

He said the Tory Dandy Scholarship Fun Day is just as important.

"I looked at my family, and nobody ever graduated from college - nobody ever completed it. So I just took it as an opportunity to go to college and just be the best I can in football and academics," Quarels said.

It's a message they say young people will understand.

"In the end, you'll be thankful that you went through everything you went through to get to where you are," Quarles said.

Dandy also said it's important for young people to set goals.

"I just wanted to show them that you can make it," Dandy said.

The Tory Dandy Scholarship Fun Day will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to  4 p.m. There will be activities for children from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. A meet and greet with players will be held from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
