WALHALLA, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Seneca man has been charged in connection with the theft of a truck from a boat landing in March.

Public Information Officer Jimmy Watt said on March 31, deputies responded to the report of a Ford F-150 and trailer stolen from Friendship Boat Landing on Coneross Creek Road.

The owner told deputies he left the boat landing at 7:15 a.m. and returned 50 minutes later to find his truck and boat trailer missing. He told deputies the truck contained weapons, tools and other items.

Watt said the boat trailer was later located at a house on Smitty Lane and returned to the owner.

The truck was later found by the Anderson County Sheriff's Office.

Watt said the truck, trailer and other items were valued at around $15,000.

Watt said 19-year-old Michael Poole was arrested and charged with grand larceny in connection to the theft. He was released from the Oconee County Detention Center on  $15,000 personal recognizance bond.
