RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

A memorial fund has been set up for the family of a Richmond boy who was killed trying to protect his sister from a rapist.

Donations can be made at any Wells Fargo Bank branch by asking for the Keys For Marty Foundation. Family members say 8-year-old Marty Cobb always loved to play with keys.

Family members and friends say Marty and his sister were playing on the train tracks in the 200 block of Brandon Road, not far from their home Thursday evening. Police say the suspect sexually assaulted the girl and, when Marty tried to intervene, beat the boy to death.

Richmond Police have a warrant for the arrest of a teen in connection with the boy's death and his sister's rape.
