Posted: Updated:

A Greenville County woman has died four days after firefighters pulled her from her burning home, according to Coroner B. Parks Evans.

On April 30, Berea Fire Department, Greenville EMS and deputies responded to a fire at the woman's home on Alice Farr Drive.

Evans said firefighters entered the burning home, located the woman and brought her to safety outside the house.

Berea firefighters performed life support measures until EMS took over.

The woman, identified as 86-year-old Mary Luker, was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital, where she died on May 4.

Evans said the cause and manner of death is pending until an investigation by the sheriff's office, fire department and coroner's office.
