SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A thief got away with some cash from a Spartanburg restaurant, including money donated to St. Jude Children's Hospital, according to authorities.

Spartanburg County deputies were called to Dollines on South Main Street in Clifton early Wednesday morning when the owner discovered someone had broken in overnight.

Deputies said the restaurant was locked up about 2 p.m. Tuesday and when the owner returned Wednesday, she discovered items knocked on the floor, $30 missing from the register and a glass donation jar for St. Judes was empty.

According to the owner, there was $100 in change and cash in the jar.

Deputies said the unknown thieves had broken in through a window.

Anyone with information on the burglary is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
