Anderson magistrate's home burglarized

ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Police are investigating a burglary that took place at the home of an Anderson County magistrate.

Captain Tony Tilley with the Anderson Police Department said the burglary happened Wednesday morning at the home of Magistrate Dan Sharp.

Tilley said Sharp's wife arrived home to find someone had thrown a rock through a glass pane in one a door to gain entry into the house.

The burglar(s) ransacked the house, according to incident reports, opened drawers all through the house and stole several items, including electronics, jewelry and a fire box containing the family's important documents.

No suspects have been named in the case, but anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
