COLUMBIA, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A South Carolina agency contractor has been charged with breach of trust with fraudulent intent, according to a release from The State Law Enforcement Division (SLED).

Edwina Jackson, 39, of Columbia, was charged on Wednesday, according to Thom Berry with SLED.

Berry said Jackson was the CEO of New Beginning Family Services, a contract organization for the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs.

Warrants state that an audit of New Beginning Family Service's finances revealed that Jackson had used more than $10,000 of state funding to pay for personal expenses.

Jackson could face up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
