WAYNESVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

U.S. Forest Service firefighters said three areas would be closed until at least Saturday afternoon as crews continue to fight a wildfire in the Harmon Den area of the Pisgah National Forest in Haywood County.

Firefighters said the wildfire was reported late Wednesday, and was about 60 acres in size. Containment was established and firefighters said back-burning operations were started.

Firefighters said Cold Springs Road, Browns Gap Road, and the Harmon Den Campground would be closed until Saturday afternoon at the earliest as crews continue to monitor the fire.

No structures were threatened and no one was hurt, firefighters said.

The Forest Service is investigating the cause of the wildfire.
