Flash flood warning in effect until 1 a.m.

NEW ORLEANS, LA. (WVUE) -

A flash flood warning is in effect until 1 a.m. for the metro area.

There were reports of street flooding in various areas throughout the city, with cars stalled out in the areas of lower St. Charles Avenue and on Calliope coming from Earhart. Traffic on I-10 eastbound toward the westbank was bumper to bumper at 10:40 p.m.

Just over 1,000 Entergy customers were without power in the university area. To view Entergy's outage map, click here.

The RTA said it is experiencing delays due to street flooding, with streetcars are banked (stopped) at Erato and St. Charles due to flooding in the CBD area.
