LAURENS, SC (FOX Carolina) -

South Carolina's State Law Enforcement Division lifted an endangered person advisory for an elderly Laurens County man with dementia after he was located late Saturday.

Lt. Judy Stiles with the Laurens County Sheriff's Office said  Herman Davis, 82, disappeared from his home on Dial Place in Laurens on Friday afternoon.

On Saturday evening, SLED issued an endangered person advisory for Davis, and said he was located a short time later in North Carolina.

Alerts were issued to authorities in Georgia and North Carolina, where deputies said Davis had family in those states.

SLED officials said Davis was found in good health.
