Our very warm stretch of weather continues Wednesday. Highs will reach the upper 80s in the Upstate and low 80s for the mountains. A few afternoon storms will be possible, but most spots will stay dry once again.
Widespread rain pushes in late Wednesday night into Thursday. We could see 2" to 3" of rain between 3 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Thursday, so localized flooding will be a potential threat. Any storm that develops could pack damaging wind and hail as well.
We should clear out Thursday night and much cooler air settles in. Overnight lows will drop back into the 40s and 50s area-wide.
