Deputies said the suspect who broke into a Nebo woman's home in April turned out to be her own nephew.

McDowell County deputies said the break-in was reported on April 21 after the victim discovered two handguns, valued at $1,057.44, were stolen.

Deputies said their investigation led to Jonas Smith, 24, and the discovery of the guns.

Smith was charged with one felony count each of breaking and entering, larceny and possession of stolen goods.
