SALEM, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Troopers with the SC Highway Patrol said the driver who fled the scene after crashing into a motorcycle on Stamp Creek Road Thursday night turned himself in on Saturday.

Troopers said David Ramey, 17, of Pickens was driving a 2003 Ford Explorer around 9 p.m. Thursday when he passed several cars and rear-ended a motorcycle.

Troopers said the motorcycle was then shoved into a third car stopped at the intersection at Pickens Highway. The rider was flown to Greenville Memorial Hospital with injuries.

Troopers said Ramey has been charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving great bodily injury, providing false information to police, driving too fast for conditions, and driving without a license.
