ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Anderson County Sheriff's Office said they found a Pendleton man who was reported missing.

Deputies said 51-year-old Norman Paul Frederic was last seen by his mother on May 14 at 11 a.m. at his home on Circle Drive in Pendleton. He was reported missing on May 17.

On Wednesday, deputies asked for the public's help in locating Frederic.

Early Thursday morning, deputies said they found Frederic while responding to a report of a suspicious man in the area of Tri County Tech's Anderson campus.

Frederic reportedly told deputies that he was never in any danger and just wanted to go on a "walkabout." Deputies said they gave Frederic a ride back to his residence.

Frederic did not have a cell phone or vehicle and does not suffer from any know medical conditions, deputies said.
