A recent study conducted by Interact for Health shows that obesity in the Greater Cincinnati area has climbed in the last 15 years.

In fact, our area is more obese than the nation as a whole.

According to the survey, more than 6 in to adults (65 percent) in the Greater Cincinnati region are overweight or obese, compared to 6 in 10 adults (63 percent) in the nation.

Weight ranges for bring overweight are calculated using the Body Mass Index, commonly abbreviated as BMI. Based on this, a person who is 5 feet 4 inches tall would be considered overweight at 150 pounds and obese at 180.
