Six guns, jewelry stolen in home burglary

SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies in Spartanburg County are investigating a burglary in which several guns and jewelry was stolen from a home.

Deputies said they were called to a home on Lake Bowen Drive Sunday night, after the homeowners returned home and found that a ground-floor window had been shattered and opened.

The back door was also found unlocked, deputies said.

According to incident reports, six guns were stolen, including two Kimber .45 caliber handguns, two .45 caliber Glock handguns, a Ruger 44 rifle and a Taurus .38 caliber five-shot revolver.

The homeowners also found that pearl necklaces, one that was cream-colored and one with black and white pearls, and an 18-karat gold heart choker necklace was stolen.

Deputies said the crime happened at some time between 11:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
