UNION, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Union man was sentenced to more than 12 years in prison on gun and drug charges on Wednesday.

Kim Bailey with the Union County Sheriff's Office said between 2011 and 2012, they made four separate charges against Jarvis Cunningham, 24, for selling crack cocaine.

In June 2012, Cunningham sold crack and a .380 caliber pistol to an undercover officer, according to Bailey.

He was indicted on four counts of distribution of crack and sale of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Bailey said because of his lengthy criminal history, the judge gave Cunningham the lengthy sentence of 151 months.

Sheriff David Taylor said Cunningham was a major drug supplier in Union County for several years. Taylor said he was also considered a violent offender.
