BOILING SPRINGS, SC (FOX Carolina) -

SWAT was called to a home in Boiling Springs after a double stabbing on Thursday afternoon, Spartanburg County deputies confirmed to FOX Carolina.

Deputies said they were first called to a report of a stabbing around 5:30 p.m. on Mountain View Road.

According to the incident report, the victim ran out of the home after she was stabbed, and waved down a car for help.

When deputies arrived, they learned that a man and woman had stabbed each other, according to Lt. Tony Ivey.

According to the report, the two were arguing about misplaced keys when 32-year-old Joshua Guinn began to hit the woman in the head while she was holding her 3-month-old child. The woman warned him she would stab him if he did not stop. He did not, so she put the child down and grabbed a knife, deputies said.

When she stabbed him in the side, Guinn grabbed the knife and stabbed her in the calves, deputies said. She grabbed her baby and ran out the door looking for help, the report stated.

Ivey said the woman was transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. He said the man refused to come out of the home.

Around 7 p.m., the scene commander decided to make entry to the home due to Guinn not responding to repeated attempts by officers to contact him, Ivey said.

SWAT fired a gas container into the home and entered the home, where they found Guinn lying on the floor, according to Ivey.

He was also taken to the hospital where he remained Friday morning, Ivey said. He said deputies have filed the charge of criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature against Guinn and no additional charges were expected to be filed in the case.
