UNION, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Deputies said they were called to a Union home after a woman saw a strange car parked in her driveway and the driver hitting his head on the steering wheel.
Union County deputies said when they pulled up at the Carem Road house, the man was passed out in the driver's seat.
After shaking him to wake up, deputies said the noticed a gun under the seat. Deputies said the man, identified as 38-year-old Michael Lawson, was disoriented and taken into custody on charges of unlawful possession of a handgun. When they searched him, deputies reported finding a bag of methamphetamine and pills on him.
According to the deputy's report, they found digital scales in his car and weighed the white crystals believed to be 17 grams of meth.
The report stated Lawson was also charged with trafficking methamphetamine and drug possession warrants.
