Great Parks of Hamilton County is adding an off-leash dog park to Miami Whitewater Forest. The Simmonds Family Dog Park will be the largest off-leash dog park in the region at 11.2 acres.
The opening of the park is Saturday, June 14 and both dogs and owners are invited. The event from noon-4 p.m. will include a full day of dog activities like a dog talent show, Frisbee dog demos and search and rescue demos.
SPCA of Cincinnati, PetSmart and PetPeople will also attend.
The dog park include four separate fields, dog agility equipment and dog play zones.
The official ribbon cutting ceremony is at noon. Great Parks food and beverages will be available as well as a live DJ.
Parking will be located at the Miami Whitewater Forest Soccer Complex next to the park. A valid Great Parks of Hamilton County Motor Vehicle Permit is required to enter the park.
The park is located at 8715 Hamilton Cleves Road, Cleves, Ohio 45002.
