Showers and storms are back in the forecast for Tuesday. The best chance of rain will come Tuesday afternoon as highs reach the mid 80s for the Upstate and upper 70s in the mountains. Heavy rain and lightning will be the main threats with storms that develop.
Wednesday will be drier and hotter. Highs will climb into the low 90s for the Upstate and mid 80s in the mountains. There will only be a 20 percent chance for storms Wednesday afternoon.
A complex of thunderstorms will approach for Thursday, bringing a chance of rain to the mountains Thursday morning. Storms will develop for the Upstate by Thursday afternoon. Large hail and damaging wind will be possible.
