An Anderson County manufacturer has announced plans to expand, which will eventually create 200 jobs in the next few years.
First Quality Tissue SE produces ultra-premium towel and bath tissue products and plans to expand their facility on Masters Boulevard.
The 1-million-square-foot addition will create space for an additional paper machine, which is expected to start up in late 2015.
"We are thrilled to announce the next phase of our commitment to Anderson County and South Carolina," said First Quality's Nicholas B. Dottino. "We chose to locate to this area because of the growing market in the Southeast, as well as the infrastructure, workforce and favorable cost of doing business. We are excited to expand and bring on an additional 200 personnel in the coming years."
The expansion is a $350 million investment an will bring the company's total Anderson County workforce to about 650 by the end of 2015.
First Quality Tissue first announced a $1 billion investment in the facility in 2010.
