HENRY COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

A woman who was driving with seven kids in an SUV was arrested and charged with DUI in Henry County.

According to a spokesperson with Henry County police, an officer pulled over Krystal Griffis after 2 a.m. on May 24 after he saw her make a "jerk movement" while driving on Interstate 75 near the exit ramp to Hudson Bridge Road and Eagles Landing Parkway.

The officer on the scene explained that he could smell a strong odor of marijuana in the vehicle, in addition to alcohol on Griffis' breath.

The officer said that during the course of the traffic stop, Griffis gave a false name and flashed the officer, pulling down the top of her shirt and bra. The officer also said that Griffis had slurred speech, red bloodshot eyes and had a difficult time following his directions.

After being given a portable breath test, police say Griffis' breath alcohol level was .087.

According to the officer, Griffis had seven children, all under the age of 12, in the vehicle. None of kids were strapped in car seats or wearing seat belts.

The seven kids were ages 12, 11, 8, 6, 5 and 2 years old, with one 10-month-old. Three of the kids were sitting in the cargo area of the vehicle, according to the officer.

Griffis was arrested and charged with DUI, seven counts of endangering a minor by DUI, possession of less than one ounce of marijuana, three counts of seat belt violation, four counts of child safety seat violations, driving on a suspended license and providing law enforcement with a false name and birthday.

A male passenger in the SUV was also charged with less than once ounce of marijuana.
