COLUMBUS, NC (FOX Carolina) -

An overturned tractor trailer has blocked part of eastbound traffic along Interstate 26 in Polk County.

According to the North Carolina Department of Transportation, the crash happened between mile markers 61 and 62 near U.S. 74 about 10 a.m.

NCDOT said has one eastbound lane closed and may not re-open until 1 p.m.

NCDOT has a detour in place for tractor trailers and truck traffic headed east. Drivers are asked to take exit 54 off I-26 East U.S. 25 South to U.S. 11 East back to I-26 East.

Car traffic can take exit 59 off I-26 East to U.S. 176 East back to I-26 East.

No other details about the crash have been released.
